These five activities focus on how to observe and understand weather. Activities incorporate Alaska Native cultural, earth and life science perspectives. This supplemental unit addresses the place-based questions: How is local weather observed and monitored? What causes our local weather and how is it changing? Why is monitoring weather and understanding changes important to our community?
